Tim Truman has posted his cover art for the 12/31/76 multitrack set, to be released by Rhino in January.
I like it!

But, yeah – trippy art…
I used to have a tape a friend made of themselves playing acoustics in their kitchen on the occasion of New Years Eve ’76-’77. At the end of the tape someone put a radio on – You hear Sugar Mag or Sunshine Daydream for a while in the background – then someone walks to the radio, after the concert ends, starts re-tuning it, saying, “Hey, thats not the Dead”, as they find a concert by Bob Seger.
Would be nice if this was released just in time for the 30th anniversary. I heard a rumor about January on the Archive Forum. This new Rhino product is being advertised in Europe…
Is this the 76 nye show?
There is a typo…
Cow Palace maybe?
Do you mean they are remastering from a multi track tape?

Yes, it’s 12/31/76 – I corrected the typo. It is a multitrack mix.
Won’t that be fun to hear. Release date?
“see & hear”
